Design & Features
Wide-range AF electronic coil — no need to change coil for different control voltages (AC or DC)
Built-in surge suppression — provides reliability under voltage dips or unstable supply
Modular block-type design — easy integration in switchgear, with possibility to add auxiliary contact blocks and other accessories
Robust main contacts and bus-bar capable connections — suitable for heavy-duty circuits, high-current and high-power switching
The ABB AF1650-30-11 is a heavy-duty, three-pole (3-phase) power contactor from ABB’s AF series. It is designed to switch and control large industrial motors and heavy loads, up to 1000 V AC, making it suitable for motor starting, isolation, distribution, bypass circuits, and general industrial power switching. The contactor uses a wide-range AF electronic coil (100–250 V AC/DC), which allows stable operation under varying control-voltage conditions, reduces energy consumption, and tolerates voltage dips or fluctuations. The design is a block-type (non-reversing, IEC standard) with screw or bar-type main contacts, and includes built-in surge protection. It also provides auxiliary contacts for control or signaling circuits and can be extended with accessory contact blocks — offering flexibility for complex control schemes in industrial control panels, motor control centers, switchgear, or heavy machinery installations.
