Technical Specifications
Parameter Specification / Typical Value
Manufacturer / Brand Eaton
Model Number NZM1-XUHIV (This is a base model; full code specifies voltage)
Product Line NZM (Accessory for)
Device Type Under-Voltage Release (UVR)
Compatible Breaker Frame NZM1
Mounting Mounts directly onto the compatible NZM1 breaker
Full Ordering Code Example NZM1-XUHIV230AC (This would specify a 230V AC operating voltage). The voltage must be specified.
Typical Operating Voltages Available for common AC voltages (e.g., 230V, 400V AC). The specific voltage is CRITICAL.
Trip Threshold Typically trips when voltage drops to 35% - 70% of its rated operating voltage.
Reset Voltage The breaker can typically be reset once the voltage is restored to above approx. 85% of the rated voltage.
Power Consumption Continuously consumes a small amount of power when energized.
Standards Compliance As part of the breaker assembly, it helps comply with IEC 60947-2.
The Eaton NZM1-XUHIV is an Under-Voltage Release (UVR) accessory module designed for the NZM1 frame size of Eaton's NZM series molded case circuit breakers (MCCBs).
This device continuously monitors the line voltage. If the voltage drops below a specified threshold (typically between 0.35 and 0.7 times the rated voltage) or fails completely, it will automatically trip (open) the circuit breaker it is attached to. This function protects connected equipment from operating at undervoltage conditions, which can be harmful to motors and other electrical devices, and can prevent "brownout" damage. The breaker cannot be reclosed until the voltage is restored to a safe level.
