The METSEPM8240 is a power quality and energy analyzer. It measures 3 - phase voltage (with a range of 400V AC nominal, but can handle slight variations), current (compatible with CTs up to a high rating, e.g., 1000A), active power, reactive power, apparent power, and energy. It also analyzes harmonics up to a high order, say 50th harmonic, to assess power quality. The device has 4 digital inputs for external triggering or status monitoring and 2 digital outputs for controlling external devices or signaling alarms. Communication is possible through Ethernet (Modbus TCP/IP) and RS485 (Modbus RTU) interfaces. It has a built - in display for on - site parameter viewing and data logging capabilities for historical data storage. The power supply can be either 24V DC or 100 - 240V AC. It can operate in an environment with temperatures ranging from -5°C to +55°C and humidity levels of 5 - 95% (non - condensing). It has an IP20 protection rating for use in indoor industrial control panels.
